Jeffrey Lynn Thompson, age 53, died on April 16th, 2014, in West Valley City. He was born on December 4th, 1960, in Salt Lake City to Denise and William Thompson. He married Brenda Beaumont on April 10th, 1982.
Jeff was a successful construction business owner and a highly regarded Drywall Finisher. He worked at Perfectly Posh with people who truly are friends and a Posh family to Jeff and his wife, Brenda. He loved fishing and was an excellent fisherman; he had just gone on Saturday with his family. He loved his wife, of 32 years, they had a special bond, which many in the family looked up to and admired. He enjoyed gardening, landscaping, and outdoors, BBQ’s & family gatherings. He loved all animals, especially his pigeons; he played with them every day. He loved his parents dearly, and would have done anything for them. Jeff was a wonderful family man, a great friend to those who knew him and he brought people together with his sense of humor and smile. As a small child, he was known as “itchy brother” to his parents and brothers.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years: Brenda. His four children: Stephanie, Melissa, Telicia, and Jordan. His nine grandchildren: Austin, Konner, Haleigh, Dallan, Alyssa, Maddolin, Kaden, Landon, and Blake. He is also survived by his mother, Denise (Don) and Father, Bill, and his two brothers, Ron and Kevin, along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his Granny Stella and Grandpa Alvin Thompson. His uncles, Jack, Jim, Richard, Mickey, Lanny and Aunt Janice, and his Grandpa Mike and Grandma Ruby Waters.
The funeral services will be held on Friday, April 18th, 2014 at Redwood Memorial Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road in West Jordan. The viewing is from 5pm-7pm and the services will be from 7pm-8pm. The burial services are on Saturday, April 19th, 2014 at Redwood Memorial Park from 9am-10am.
