Jeff loved and led his family with a kind and gentle spirit. He was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints serving in many various callings. One that meant a lot to him was his time serving as the Sunday school president. He made sure that important programs were top notch and well planned. He played the organ and piano by ear. He was a lover of music. He loved to take a song and spice it up and put his own spin on it (Kind of like the Jeffrey Signature)! He would put his whole soul into the music he played! He loved working out in his yard. Desserts were his favorite. He had to have a dessert (ice cream) for every Holiday Christmas (peppermint), February (Something Pink, for St Patrick’s (Shamrock) etc. He collected baseball cards for over 60 years. He would even hide his BB cards under his bed! He loved the California ANGELS and Denver BRONCOS. He was an avid University of Utah Utes and Utah Jazz fan who passed it right on down to his boys! Another favorite thing he did was pull his daughter in the wagon when she was a little girl! Even as she grew older any trip to town called for a new route that she chose. Jeff was the loudest in the stadium at any sporting event cheering on his team! If you ever heard, “You’re killin the grass”, you know you heard him in the stand! In his quieter moments, he enjoyed playing a good game of solitaire! One of his favorite things about Christmas was finding and decorating the “perfect tree”.
Jeff was a dedicated and hard worker. He worked at Salt Lake Regional Hospital for 36 years. His co-workers were blessed with “Jeff Jokes” regularly. He loved to make them laugh.
The family would like to thank Sunday Anderson Senior Center, St. Joseph’s Villa, and Inspiration Hospice for the love and care they provided to Jeff during his battle with Frontal Lobe Dementia.
