Jeffrey Charles Brown

January 14, 1978 — December 24, 2019

Jeffrey Charles Brown passed away December 24, 2019 surrounded by family and friends. Jeff was born January 14, 1978 to Gregory Brown and Deborah Liebman Brown who precede him in death. He was sealed for time and all eternity to his “sweet wifey” Amanda Ruth Nelson in the Manti Temple on August 3, 2011. They shared 8 amazing years married to their “best friend and e.c.”
Jeff and Amanda raised Katherine Ann as their own daughter for three years, a niece who was placed in their home. Jeff will always love her unconditionally and was devastated when the court returned her to her birth parents.
Family meant everything to Jeff. So, Jeff and Amanda were humbled and overjoyed to welcome their daughter Charlotte Ruth to the world on December 28, 2018. Charlotte “Charly” Brown was the love of Jeff’s life from the moment he saw her. He couldn’t help but smile every time she exclaimed, “Hi daddy!” whenever he entered the room. Watching Charly learn and grow was the greatest challenge and adventure of Jeff’s life. Jeff wholly believed in the teachings of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and that families will be together forever. We know that Jeff will always be watching over his little girl.
He leaves behind his uncles, Tim (Linda) and Dan (Rachelle). His sister Dannielle, a cousin, Stephen Brown, as well as nieces and nephews who will miss the uncle they admired so greatly.
Jeff dedicated his life to bettering the lives of others, treating everyone he met with respect and courtesy. He avoided arguments by listening and respecting differing opinions. He worked with the Department of Children and Family Services, advocating for children and teens. He also volunteered as a crisis worker for suicide prevention and fought for increased resources for caseworkers with state law makers to better help the families they serve. He helped families whose homes had been damaged by flood and fires and even tried to save us all from bad deli food as an owner of a Gandolfo’s Deli in Provo, Utah. He truly loved his employees and customers, taking time to get to know them.
Jeff found his passion when he was accepted as a Pharmacy student and started attending the PharmD and MBA program at Roseman University in the fall of 2019. He loved learning and sharing his knowledge with others. He was grateful for the opportunities to intern at Fresh Market Pharmacy in Holladay, and Costco Pharmacy in Orem.
Jeff was a natural story teller. He wove amazing, touching stories, enrapturing his audience until the very end. He turned this love towards games, spending hours crafting epic and heartwarming journeys for his friends who he considered family. The world has truly lost the greatest dungeon master.
The family wishes to thank his doctors including Dr. Mark Dodson and the incredible nursing staff at IMC RICU for the amazing care they provided to Jeff.
