Jeanette Prina Baldwin

November 6, 1942 — November 29, 2021

Jeanette Prina Baldwin “Jeanie” was born on November 6, 1942 to Angelo Caesar Prina and Eomia Lauritzen in Kimberly, NV. Jeanie grew up in Ely, NV where she loved roaming the hills with her four brothers, playing piano for primary beginning at age 9, delivering her after school newspaper route and participating in roadshows, dance festivals and school marching band.
Jeanie adored her 4 brothers Peter, Larry, David and Robert and enjoyed close relationships with them all her life.
Jeanie attended Brigham Young University in Provo, UT and received a BA in Business education. She taught at American Fork High school, as well as night school for many years, teaching typing, shorthand and other business skills. She married Clyde Raymond “Ray” Baldwin on August 20, 1964 in the Salt Lake City Temple. Jeanie and Ray moved to Southfield, MI in 1969 and spent 16 wonderful years living in the Detroit area. They also made homes in Farmington, UT and Ammon, ID before settling in Littleton, CO where they lived for 33 years. Jeanie worked in the Denver Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints for 21 years as the assistant to the temple recorder. She loved working in the temple and considered it a great blessing to have such a peaceful place to work with beloved coworkers. Jeanie and Ray moved to Provo, UT in 2017 to be closer to family members.
Jeanie was a gifted musician who loved to play the piano and especially loved accompanying the Littleton 6th ward choir. She served in that calling for many years and especially loved preparing for the annual holiday program. She loved to decorate and had a knack for making everything around her cozy and beautiful. Her home in Idaho was featured in the parade of homes. She loved to celebrate holidays and make everyday events beautiful. She especially loved the Christmas season and served as the co-chair for the Interfaith Creche Festival in Littleton. Jeanie was an avid crafter and always had multiple projects that she worked on. She loved cross stitch, sewing and woodworking projects. She participated in the annual Littleton craft show and had many repeat customers who bought her handicrafts over the years. Jeanie also loved to garden and had bountiful vegetable and flower gardens all of her adult life – she loved nothing more than a fresh tomato sandwich with produce from her garden. Jeanie served her family tirelessly and was always the best supporter and cheerleader. She never missed a performance, game, or opportunity to volunteer for her kids activities. She successfully juggled full time employment, motherhood and a variety of demanding church responsibilities. She adored her grandchildren and loved to send holiday packages, plan fun activities and outings, and make crafts with them.
Jeanie is survived by her four brothers Peter (Mina) Prina of Alpine, UT; Larry (Arlene) Prina of Magna, UT; David (Marilyn) of Provo, UT and Robert (Carol) of Lehi, UT. She is survived by children Teresa Lewis of South Jordan, UT; Nicole (Jon) Jackson of Vancouver, WA; Monique (Allen) Frost of McKinney, TX and Stephen Baldwin of Sandy, UT. She was a beloved grandmother of Rachelle, Parker and Bailey Lewis; Morgan, Mason, Brooklyn, Brinley and Maddie Jackson; and Carter, Makenna, Addison and Emery Frost. Jeanie was preceded in death by her sweetheart Ray in March of 2021. We know they are having a beautiful heavenly reunion.
