Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother, Jean Kapple Mackintosh, 94, passed away January 28, 2017.
Born July 29, 1922 in Payson, Utah to Charles Dixon Kapple and Alice Claire Bradford of Ogden, Utah. Married James Mark Mackintosh on June 4, 1943. She attended Weber State College and worked at Lowry Field, Denver and First Security Bank, SLC, Utah.
Jean was a wonderful wife, mother and friend. She always had an excited welcome for everyone, followed shortly by a big, warm hug. She was always very enthusiastic in all her endeavors and especially with her favorite sport, basketball. She was close with all her relatives and friends, had a cute sense of humor, and had a smile and a laugh for everyone. She will be greatly missed by her family and her many friends and neighbors.
Survived by three sons and two daughters, James Dixon; Mark Alan; Daren; Diana Jean; all of Salt Lake City, and Shelley of Laveen, Arizona; one sister, JoAnn Layne of Ogden; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Alice Richardson of Colorado Springs, CO; her brother, Dick Kapple of Ogden, Utah and her husband.
Services will be held Thursday, February 2, 2017, with a viewing at 11:00 am and funeral at 12.00 pm. These will be held at Garden Heights South Ward, 2220 East Fisher Lane, Salt Lake City, UT. Interment will be at Memorial Mountain View Mortuary, 3115 East 7800 South (Bengal Boulevard), Cottonwood Heights, UT.Service Information
