Jean Dickey

Jean Dickey, age 94, passed away on June 3, 2022 in the family home. She was born on November 24, 1927 in Providence, Utah to Edward George Loveday and Hannah Vilate Loftus. She married Lloyd Richard Dickey on June 2, 1943.
Jean raised a family of 6, 3 boys and 3 girls. She taught Sunday school at Kearns 1st Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening, flowering, baseball, sewing, knitting and cooking, especially for her family.
She was witty with a great sense of humor. She will always be remembered for her kindness, generosity and unconditional love for her family.She is survived by her daughter, Julie Ann “Sammy” Pearson (Larry), sons; David Dickey (Tina), Douglas Dickey (Penny) and Dennis Dickey (Lisa), 12 grandkids and 17 great-grandkids. (The family would like to offer a special thank you to Julia Skowronek for the loving care she provided Momma.)
She is preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Richard Dickey, sons; Charles Eugene and Richard Jay Dickey, daughters; Shirley Kisner and Geraldine Gulsvig, grandson, Brian Griego, granddaughter, Mandy Pearson, sisters; Ethel Johnson, Peggy Irwin and Pat Hoskins, and brother, Ted Loveday.
Funeral services will be held on June 16, 2022 at 11:00 AM with a viewing beginning at 10:00 AM. Services will be held at Memorial Redwood Mortuary & Cemetery located at 6500 South Redwood Road in West Jordan, Utah. Interment will immediately follow at the same location.
