Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, Jean F. Cooper, 69, passed away on October 25, 2014 in Salt Lake City from complications from diabetes.
Jean was born on September 9, 1945 in Brigham City, Utah. She graduated from Olympus High School in 1963. She married Robert Rey Cooper on July 2, 1965 in the Salt Lake Temple. She worked as a classroom and lunchroom aide and then as a secretary at Midvale Elementary.
She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints throughout her life serving in various callings. She enjoyed doing crafts and oil painting as well as camping and walking around Silver Lake.
She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and was loved by many friends and family. She is survived by four daughters, Karen Adams (Craig) of Sandy, Debora Beckstead (Kent) of Draper, Kathi Brown (Danny) of Midvale, Brenda Peterson (Darren) of Saratoga Springs; seven grandchildren; two sisters Susan McCauley and Connie Roeling; brother Robert Godfrey; and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her eternal companion Robert R. Cooper, one older brother and both parents.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, October 31, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the Union Park 2nd Ward, 700 East 7500 South. Friends may call Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at Holladay Cottonwood Mortuary, 4670 S Highland Drive and at the church one hour prior to the service.
