Jean Hicken Asay passed away on July 26, 2024 in South Salt Lake City, Utah. She was born on February 9, 1945 in Schenectady, New York to Anna Jensen and Thomas Hicken.
She enjoyed playing softball, bowling, cruising, camping and motor cycles. There are very few words to describe this amazing women. During her time here on earth she touched the lives of so many people. She will be missed by all of them. The New York Mets have lost their biggest fan. She told her grandkids that at her funeral she wanted a circus party, with happy faces, popcorn, balloons and clowns.
She is survived by Joseph Asay, AnnaJean Kramer (Frank) Betty Sorensen. 4 Grandkids, Abigail Kramer-Mott (Steven) Frank Kramer III, Savanah Kramer, Mary Kramer, Sister Dale Johnson (Don), and Brother Steven Hicken (Jan).
She is preceded in death by her Mother, Anna Jensen Hicken and Father Thomas Lorin Hicken, her son Thomas (Tommy) Eldred Asay, and sister Lynne Walentine.
A funeral service was held on August 6, 2024 at 11:00 AM over at the Memorial Redwood Mortuary and Cemetery located on 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah. The viewing will begin at 9:00 AM prior to the funeral service at the Redwood Mortuary and Cemetery. Following the funeral service, at 1:30 PM an Interment will take place over at the Mantua City Cemetery located on 350 West Center Street, Mantua, Utah.
