Jason Laray Talbot

Jason LaRay Talbot (43) passed away peacefully on August 4, 2022 in Layton, UT after enduring several years of undiagnosed medical issues. He was born on April 11, 1979 in Bountiful, UT to David LaRay Talbot and Louise (Suess) Talbot.
He is survived by his wife Rebecca, daughter Emma, mother Louise, brothers Chad (Clancy) and Andy (Britney), nieces and nephews: Tasha (Jordan), McKinzey, Tallyn, Kurry, Kaley, Kyler, Ivan, Mazie, and countless others who loved him. He is preceded in death by his father David LaRay Talbot and his adoring grandparents.
Jason married his best friend, Rebecca Noelani Cox on October 4, 2014 in Layton, UT and loved her with his whole heart. They had many adventures together road tripping, designing cakes, and honing their foodie skills. He was taken far too soon, but they experienced a lifetime of love in the years they shared.
Jason was blessed with a loving family. The day his daughter Emma LaRay Guerrero (12) was born was his proudest moment. He loved and adored his “baby girl” and always bragged about how smart she is. Jason was his mom’s sunshine and their favorite pastime was going out for sushi together.
He had a strong work ethic and was proud of his many accomplishments. His myriad of successful projects continue to be an asset to the community. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, camping, and sharing stories around the fire. Jason was mischievous and always down for a good prank (as long as it was on someone else!). He loved anything to do with cooking – barbequing, smoking, experimenting with new flavors and techniques, and was known for his famous Chile Verde.
Jason holds a special place in all of our hearts and will be deeply missed. May he rest in peace.
An open house will be held on Saturday, August 13 at 11:00 a.m. During this Celebration of Life, we invite friends and family to share stories and memories of Jason. Flowers are appreciated and donations may be made to Venmo @TalbotMemorial.
