Beloved Wife, Mother, Sister, Oma and Great-Oma.
Janny Rietveld (age 82) passed away April 21, 2015, peacefully at home and returned to her Heavenly Father. Janny was born in Leiden, the Netherlands on May 9, 1932 to Jakob and Maartje Hille. She married Gysbert Arie (Ben) Rietveld on April 2, 1954 in the Salt Lake Temple. Ben and Janny served an inner City Mission together. Janny served for 7 years as an ordinance worker in the Jordan River Temple and in many positions in the church. She had a beautiful singing voice and enjoyed performing as a soloist and in groups. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family and friends. Janny was preceded in death by her daughters, Sharon Jane and Amber Michelle. She is survived by her husband, Ben, children, Diana (Oliver), Roy (Debbie), Elizabeth, John and Nancy; 13 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren. Viewing will be Monday April 27th at 12:30 pm, followed by a graveside service at 2:00 pm at Mountain View Memorial, 3115 E. 7800 So.
