Janice Shirlene Lindley Larrabee 1946-2016
She was born June 26, 1946 to Mel and Ilene Lindley. She passed away, unexpectedly, on March 17, 2016. She married Ronald Larrabee, and they just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. She is survived by her husband, her children RaChelle (Tim) Campbell, Troy (Tina) Larrabee, Susan (Danny Thorpe)Collins, and Brian(Heather Sherman) Larrabee, 12 grandchildren and sister, Gayle (Jerry)Erickson and brother in law Bill Nelson, Ross and Maxine, Mark and Karrie, Mike and Kathy and many nieces and nephews.
Mother was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served faithfully in many callings. Ronald took Janice to be his Eternal Companion on August 27, 1965 in the Salt Lake Temple and had the privilege to be sealed by, then, Elder Thomas S. Monson.
Mother loved to sew, cross stitch, and crochet. She made many blankets for her family over the years. She enjoyed crafts with her daughters and granddaughters, but especially loved playing games with all her grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time with her family at Fish Lake. Mother loved her family, and was especially proud of each of her grandchildren. She threw awesome Easter egg hunts for them! Mother loved her dear friends, many in the ward and Linda and Sandra. She also loved her brothers and sisters-in-law, and their children.
The family would like to thank the doctor’s that have cared for Mother over the past few months. We are so grateful for the Butler 7th Ward, and for all they have done for Mother and Dad, especially for the many gifts of service that you have shown us these past few months. We truly love you!
Janice was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Pat Nelson, and brother Charlie Lindley. A viewing will be held on Monday, March 21 from 6-9 pm, and from 9:30 – 10:45 am on Tuesday, March 22. The funeral will follow at 11am. The viewing and funeral will be held at the Butler 7th Ward, 1355 East 7200 South, Cottonwood Heights, UT.
