Our sweet mom Janett Detomasi Webster, 80, passed away in the early hours of May 7th at her home. She was born June 17, 1937 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Angleo Detomasi and Rosezella Lillian (Steadman) Detomasi. Mom lived most of her life in West Jordan, Utah. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and faithfully served in many callings. She met the man of her dreams Richard (Dick) William Webster. Shortly after, he was drafted into the Korean War. Their courtship was 2 years of faithful letter writing. They were married July 9, 1960. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Dick and Janett had three children and had enough love to share with many foster children for over 18 years. She was the best wife, mother, homemaker, caregiver and friend. She selflessly and lovingly took care of our dad up until he passed away 5 years ago. They enjoyed many years together with family and friends at their “home away from home” in Camelot. Mom and Dad served two LDS service missions together. One, at the Utah State Prison and the other, an Inner-City Mission.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Lamar and two step-parents “Pa” Arthur Anderson and “Ella” Ellen Ruth Jensen and her husband Dick. She is survived by her two sisters LaRae Kidder and twin sister Janice Bottema, children: Jon (Laurie) Webster, Rosalee (Orrin) Howard and Luanne (Rob) Sullivan, 12 grandchildren, 12 great grand-children.
