Janet Martin Anderson

July 19, 1958 — June 2, 2021

Janet Martin Anderson, 62, passed away on June 2, 2021, in Sandy, UT, after an 11 year struggle with lupus. Janet was born on July 19, 1958, in Salt Lake City, UT to Donald and Betty Martin. She was married to Corey Jamison on November 5, 1976, and to Jerald Anderson on May 5, 2001.
During her life, Janet worked as a seamstress, preschool teacher, and bookkeeper. She happily fulfilled a variety of callings for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints; her favorite being serving the young women and as a temple worker. She liked sewing frilly dresses and play clothes for little ones in the family and making little ditties for the children. She enjoyed camping trips with the family and weekend trips to Las Vegas drinking virgin margaritas. Her biggest joy in life was being with her family, especially spending time with her grandchildren. She was always quick to tell people how much she loved her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her children: Ryan (Evelyn) Jamison and Sara Jamison St. Hilaire; beloved grandchildren: Easton, Amelia, and Isabelle; former spouse, Corey Jamison; brother, Stephen (Joella) Martin and sister, Patricia (Kenneth) Paxman; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband Jerald Anderson.
A viewing for family and friends will be held from 10-11 AM on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at 11626 S 300 E, Draper, UT 84020.
Interment will be at Memorial Redwood Cemetery, 6500 S Redwood Rd, Taylorsville, UT 84123.
While flowers are welcome, the family would humbly ask that donations be made to Janet’s funeral fund. Please contact the family if you would like to donate.
