Janet Lee Dawson

May 11, 1951 — February 25, 2021

Janet Lee Dawson passed away unexpectedly on February 25, 2021 at age 69 in Magna, Utah. She was born on May 11, 1951 in Nampa, Idaho to Thomas Arlen Hill and Inez Loraine Martin.
She was a retired paratransit driver; who loved her job dearly in helping others.  After a short courtship, Janet married her soul mate and best friend Scott Dawson on April 10, 1998.  Their love and devotion to one another was and forever will be inspiring.  For 23 years, Jan and Scott have gone on many adventures and made lasting memories with one another.  Jan’s tender loving heart welcomed many into her home. She had everlasting love and compassion for those around her.  She lived for her family and was always thrilled to spend time with them.
In addition to the love of her family, she absolutely loved and was always in awe of the wonderful, beautiful nature around her.  You could often find her out on her front porch or backyard deck admiring the mountains and wildlife. Quite often she would admire the hummingbirds that came to visit her feeders.  She truly adored nature. She always took time daily to view the simple wonders of life around her.
Jan had an amazing eye for decorating. Her homes were always professionally decorated by her and looked as if each room came out of a country home magazine. Her beautiful eye for interior design, made her homes warm and welcoming.
Jan also enjoyed spoiling her cats each and every day. She cuddled with them every morning while drinking coffee and feeding them treats. She also would set out food for all the stray cats in the neighborhood.  Her heart was very large, generous, and loving to all.
Janet Lee Dawson is preceded in death by her father Thomas Arlen Hill, her mother Inez Loraine Hill, and her two cats Frankie and Gus. She is survived by her husband and the love of her life Scott Dawson; her sister Nancy Fry; her children Maria Seewer (Tom), Jamie Seewer (Tiffany), Justin Seewer, Trent Dawson (Rhonda), Kelleyne Lenhart (Randy), Travis Dawson (Adrianne), Kristine Lenhart (Jesse); her 12 ¼ grandchildren; her 4 great-grandchildren; and her 3 cats Aullie, Harvey, and Zina.
Jan has touched the hearts of everyone she has met and will truly be missed by all.  Heaven has gained a loving angel.
