Janet Ann Feuerbach Crapo

September 5, 1942 – January 14, 2025 

Dear Janet found peace when she slipped away to be welcomed by her loving family in heaven early on January 14th and she will be greatly missed. 

She was born in Pipestone, Minnesota on September 5, 1942 and now preceded in death by her beloved daughter Sally Akiona, her sister Vanessa Feuerbach Lavalsiti (Bill) and her parents Merna and Sara Feuerbach. She is survived by her sweet husband Cleed, her sister Betty Feuerbach Tripp (Harry), children Darrin (Laura) , Joe (Christi) and Jennie Crapo, and her son-in-law Lon Akiona. Her grandchildren will all miss their fun Grandma Crapo.

The Feuerbach family moved several times when Janet was a child. Janet graduated from Granger High School. She soon met Delbert Cleed Crapo and they fell in love. They were married on November 26, 1960. Their marriage was later solemnized in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saint’s temple in Salt Lake City, Utah. While being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Janet said her favorite calling was being the Relief Society President.

She was a supportive and loving wife of Cleed who worked many hours. Janet watched over her children and supported them in their schooling and sports. Janet’s family was most important to her. She never missed a baseball, softball game or wrestling match. Janet also worked as a teacher’s aide at West Lake Junior High school for many years.

She was very proud of her Native American heritage. Her great-great Grandmother, Julia Goodteacher was a full-blooded member of the Santee Sioux tribe. 

Janet was a colorful woman who was talented in painting beautiful scenes. Her unique and loving personality will be missed.

Funeral services for Janet will be held on Saturday. January 25th at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints chapel at 1945 West 9000 South, West Jordan, Utah. The viewing will be held at 10 am with the funeral service starting at 11:30 am.
