Jane (Jeanie) Marie Cannon Townsend passed away on October 24th, 2022 in West Jordan, Utah. Jeanie was born on December 25th 1935 to Ella Marie Jensen and Thomas James Cannon and grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was the eldest of four siblings.
Jeanie graduated from South High. A woman of many creative talents she sang in nightclubs in her early adult years, played the piano and later on was appreciated by her family and friends for her many beautiful paintings. She was known for her sassy sense of humor and her free spirit.
Jeanie traveled in the United States in the horse racing business for many years and lived in Samoa Island for a period of time. She also made several trips to France where her youngest daughter resides.
Jeanie is survived by her five children Michael Tripp, Steven Tripp, Robert (Sue) Tripp, Trisha (Brian) Young Lloyd and Shauna Harman Albouy, 14 grand children: Robbie John Tripp,Crystal (Jason) Malaret, Alesha (Travis) Busey, Mike (Rachel) Tripp, Jessica (James) Bloodgood, Tony (Sarah) Tripp, Casey Tripp, Josh Tripp, Nicholas (Shauna) Lloyd, Brooke (Steve) Hopkins, Becky (Tyler)Unsworth, Bonnie (Andy) Unsworth, Emilie Albouy, Morgan Albouy. She has 27 Great grand children.
She is also survived by her brothers Donald Hopkins and Richard (Cindy) Wilkinson. She is preceded in death by her dear little sister Kathleen Buchanan who died on September 11th 2022 and her beloved grandmother in whom she found peace, Alice Jensen from Sterling, Utah.
