On January 23, 2014 our loving mother, grandmother and friend, Jane Handing, passed away peacefully. She was born October 30, 1925 in St. Louis, Missouri to Pearl and Walter Lewedag.
She married Melvin Oliver Handing, May 8, 1948 in St. Louis, who preceded her in death. They raised 2 beautiful daughters, Barbara and Peggy. Jane was an accomplished seamstress and enjoyed cross-stitch. Family vacations were all over the country by train, since Melvin worked for the railroad. She will be missed by everyone who knew her.
Survived by her daughters, Barbara and Margaret (Ron) Miller; grandchildren, Nicole and Stephen; siblings, Robert (Priscilla) Lewedag and Vera Clark.
The family thanks the staff of Emeritus for the loving care they gave to Jane.
Funeral services will be held Monday, January 27th, 11:00 a.m. at Redwood Memorial Mortuary, 6500 So. Redwood Rd. with a viewing one hour prior to services.
