Jane Geneva Simpson-Gray

Jane Geneva Simpson-Gray, age 94, died on May 7, 2019 in Draper, UT. She was born on August 31, 1924, in Coriscana, TX to Elmer Hope Northern and Lillie Minor Prater. She married Harold Walter Simpson on September 4, 1942.
Jane was a devoted wife of 64 years; matriarch to generations, and a faithful servant of God and fellow beings. She was a Relief Society President (3 times), Primary President (twice), Young Women’s President, served as an Ordinance Worker in the Oakland Temple for 8 years, and served two Family History missions. Jane was also a Seminary Teacher and President of the P.T.A. She loved her flowers and gardening; was a crack shot – loved hunting and the outdoors, and worked on many humanitarian projects.
She is survived by Clyde Dennis Simpson, Michael Dean Simpson, Bradley Scott Simpson, and Stephen Deveron Simpson.
She is preceded in death by her daughter Patsy Jo Simpson and husbands Harold Walter Simpson and Joseph Roberts Gray.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2019, at 10:00 AM with a viewing one-hour prior at the Westwood Heights 1st Ward, 3940 Dimrall Drive, Taylorsville, UT, 84118.
