Jan Kielkowski

Jan Kielkowski, 76, our mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on Sept 10, 2015, surrounded by family. She was the oldest daughter of Del and Ethel Schindler. She graduated from West High School in 1957. She married Joe Kielkowski in 1960 and together they had six children. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She will be missed by her many grandkids and extended family. She loved God, her family, and Facebook! She is survived by her children, Jeanie (Sid) Olsen, Julia (Jack) Brakey, John (Dixie) Kielkowski, JoAnn Lester, Jennifer (Ron) Wellman, and James (Leslie) Kielkowski, brother Dan Schindler, and sisters Linda Vrieze and Judy (Ralph) Garcia. She was preceded in death by husband Joseph Kielkowski, parents Del & Ethel Schindler, and older brother Don Schindler. Our heartfelt appreciation to the wonderful staff at IMC for their loving care of our mother.
Per Mom’s wishes, there will be no formal funeral service. Graveside services for family will be held at 10:30 Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2015, at Redwood Memorial Estates, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, UT. Dress is casual. This is a celebration of our mom/grandma’s life. Come prepared to share your memories of this wonderful lady. There will be an open house from 11:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 15 at the home of Jan’s brother Dan, 2497 W. Bueno Vista Drive, West Jordan. All are welcome to attend.
