Jamie Lee Corkrey, age 35, passed away peacefully on November 15, 2015; an amazing sister, an adorable mother, and a precious child. Born March 21, 1980, Jamie grew up in Taylorsville, Utah and was an incredible ballerina, performing in the Nutcracker multiple times. She loved sports and excelled at anything she attempted, but water polo was her passion. She worked at various insurance companies and during that time competed in the corporate games where she was the MVP on more than one occasion. She had an avid love for all animals but was smitten with her dog, Hercules. She had her own sense of style and loved to draw, design and create.
She was beyond kind and did not have the ability to ever say a bad word about anyone. She had a strong love for her family, but her sweet baby girl, Isabelle, was her heart and soul.
She is survived by her daughter, Isabelle Winegar, her mother, Leesa Eardley, her sister and brother-in-law Cassidy Corkrey (Robert Avila), her two brothers, Kevin and Bret Corkrey, and her niece and nephew, Kylie Flanders and Ryder Corkrey. She will be greatly missed and her sweet example of absolute love and acceptance of others will shine on.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, November 20, 2015 at 12:00 Noon at the Holladay-Cottonwood Mortuary, 4670 S Highland Drive. A viewing will begin at 10:30 AM prior to services at the same location. Interment will be at Holladay Memorial Park.
