Jami Stones Crawford

August 14, 1982 — April 20, 2019

WELL THIS SUCKS!!!
I was born August 14,1982 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Ronald and Barbara Crawford. From that day on I was my mother’s “angel girl.” I had one older sister, Staci, who adored me.
Life was good. Mom worked evenings and Dad was always willing to let me have my way. However, I wanted a little sister. I had her name picked out — Sarah. Obviously, the stork got my order wrong because he brought me a little brother — Kip. Over the years I came to realize the stork knew what I needed in my life and that’s what he gave me.
I have always been a talker, out-going and friendly. Mom said she heard the same thing at parent-teacher conferences for 13 years—“She is a good kid but talks too much.” My parents didn’t need to worry about me skipping school in middle or high school. I wasn’t about to miss an opportunity to socialize with my friends.
The two best things in my life are my daughters —Edee Rae (14) and Presley (10). When Edee was first born I cried because I didn’t think she looked anything like me. Well, if you know Edee, you know how wrong I was about that. Presley may not look like me but she got my personality. That girl can talk. I hope all of you will watch out for my girls in the coming years. Please share your memories of me with them and remind them their mother loved them.
Thanks to all my friends and family who have been there to help me when the road was rough. If the value of life was measured in the number of friends a person had, I would be among the richest.
I passed away Saturday, April 20, 2019. It always made me mad when people did not list the “cause of death” in an obituary. I passed away at home in my sleep from natural causes.
I am survived by my daughters, Edee Rae (14) and Presley Ann (10); mother, Barbara Stones-Crawford; sister, Staci Crawford-Brown (William), brother, Kip Crawford; nephews, Austin White, Aaron Brown; nieces, Jasmine Brown, Kaylah Brown; grandmother, Wanda Crawford; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends. Preceded in death by father, Ronald Crawford; grandmother, Lila Stones Whipple; grandfathers, James R Crawford and James R Stones; loving friend Danny Linford.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, April 27 at 2 pm at Memorial Mountain View Mortuary (3115 Bengal Blvd, Cottonwood Heights) with a viewing one hour prior. A viewing will also be held Friday, April 26th from 6-8 pm at the same location.
