James Russell Allan Thompson, the king of questionable fashion sense, finally broke free from his family's grasp on December 28, 2024, after a brief but spirited tussle with cancer.
When he wasn't rocking out to rock music or riding his bike, James took pride in following in his grandfather's footsteps, leaving his mark as a skilled mason in places like Brigham Young Historic Park.
The rest of his time, he was surrounded by his family: wife Nancy, kids Angela (Mark) Payne, James R A. Thompson Jr., Michael Rohr, Shauna Thompson, 11 grandkids, seven great-grandkids, and his trusty sidekicks Pep and Little Man (his beloved dogs).
James is preceded in death by his grandparents Thornton and Emma Cook, parents Russell and Claudia Thompson, sister Terry Mounteer, and great-grandson Cole Llewellyn, who all couldn't wait to get the party started at the pearly gates.
He leaves behind a legacy of plaid shirts, toy cars, and a family who will deeply miss him but also kinda miss his outrageous fashion sense. Rest in peace, Dad!
