James Barry Schneider passed away on April 30, 2024, in his home in Kearns, Utah at the age of 62. He was born on November 12, 1961, in Palmdale, California to Edward and Constance Schneider.
James married Cherrie Gordon on April 15, 1992, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
James served for three years in the United States Army in Germany. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and planning vacations. He worked in the transportation field driving buses and trucks. He loved making friends. He loved to cook and invite people over. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He had many friends.
James is survived by his wife Cherrie; son Michael; father Edward (Bonnie Lou) Schneider; brothers William (Susan), Bob, Raymond (Yvette), Benjamin (Kim); and sister Barbara (Peter).
He is preceded in death by his mother Constance; sister-in-law Diane Schneider; brother-in-law Kevin Gordon; mother-in-law Lois Gordon; and father-in-law Ray Gordon.
The family would like to thank Dream Foundation for giving James his dream vacation to Hawaii before he passed away.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 10, 2024, at 12:00 noon at the Kearns 21st Ward Building, 5720 South 4270 West, Kearns Utah. You may visit with the family at a viewing on Thursday, May 9, 2024, at the church from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and then again on Friday prior to services from 11:00 to 11:45 AM. Interment following services on Friday at Memorial Redwood Cemetery, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordon, Utah.
