James Monty Wade

Our beloved husband, father and grandfather, James “Monty” Wade, passed away surrounded by his loved ones on Thursday December 22, 2016.
Monty was born June 1, 1954 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Homer and Margaret Wade. Married June Alice Cox December 31, 1991 and later sealed for time and all of eternity in the Jordan River Temple February 14, 1998. He was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He was a talented musician and loved playing the drums more than anything. Monty was an accomplished martial artist and was passionate about sharing his talents with others to boost their confidence and self-esteem. He loved playing golf and looked forward to his annual golf tournament. Monty was a craftsman who took pride is his trade as a carpet layer. He did his very best to ensure his customers were happy and completely satisfied with his work. He had a witty sense of humor always telling a joke here and there to make others laugh.
Monty’s greatest accomplishment in life was his compassion and unconditional love to everyone he came in contact with. His deep devotion and love for his “Angel Baby” June was one in a million. He adored his 5 children and many grandchildren. Monty was a pure example of Jesus Christ through his many acts of kind service to others. He loved the Gospel of Jesus Christ and shared his testimony with everyone one he met.
He is survived by wife, June; children: Amy (Brent) Warren, Jason (Molly) Cox, Jared (Jennifer) Cox, Brian Cox, Christy (John) Ross; 16 grandchildren; 3 sisters and 2 brothers. Preceded in death by parents Homer and Margaret Wade and Baby Rickey.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday December 27, 2016, 11:00am at LDS Chapel 8950 South 400 East Sandy, Utah where a viewing will be held just prior to the services Tuesday, 10am-10:45am. Interment held at Memorial Lake Hills Cemetery 10055 S. State Street Sandy, Utah.
