James Lavere Hill

James LaVere Hill passed away peacefully on Friday, October 4th, 2019. Born April 19, 1928 in Trenton, Utah. Jim married Ruth May Fox on October 22, 1949. He was employed by Kennecott Copper Co. for 36 years as a welder. After his retirement he worked for Tandy Leather. Leather work was his true joy. Jim is survived by his wife Ruth of 70 years, his step-son Ronald Eliason, sons Paul and Glen, also his daughter Shauna Ericson. He has 9 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild. He is preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, 3 sister, and 1 grandson. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 10, 2019, from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM at Memorial Redwood Mortuary and Cemetery, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, UT 84123. A viewing will be held on Wednesday, October 9, 2019 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Memorial Redwood Mortuary and Cemetery and one hour prior to the funeral service. Internment will take place at Memorial Redwood Cemetery
