James G Day

James G. Day, age 77 passed away on June 2, 2018 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was born on December 24, 1940 to Dyer and Flora Shannon Day. He married the love of his life, Mary Louise Day on May 20, 1961. He is survived by his wife, daughters Louise (Mark) Largo SLC, Lisa (Robert) Arnold WVC, son Jimmy Day SLC, Tana Delobel, 4 sisters, 11 grandchildren, Matthew (Mindy) Day, Jim Day, Brett day, Rachelle (Garry) Jones, Alissa Martinez, Trina (T.J.) Jorgensen, Joshua Thompson, Cody (Shontae) Arnold, Sabrina Day, Tyson (Chante) Arnold, Rilee Day, 22 great grandchildren, and nephew Davey (Julie) Day, and Wayne (Elaine) Day whom he had a special place in his heart for. He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings.
He will be truly missed, he has a heart of gold, and a wise soul. James was known for all his clean and very unclean jokes. He would give any of his loved ones the shirt off his back and the last dollar to his name. Fishing and hunting were his passions, and enjoyed his time spent with family.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday June 7, 2018 at 2 PM with a viewing one hour prior at Memorial Redwood Mortuary and Cemtery 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah 84123. Friends and family are all welcome to come and celebrate his life.
We love you husband, dad, grandpa, great grandpa, brother, uncle and friend.
