James Kelly Durrant, 63, of Murray, Utah passed away in his home on October 22, 2015. He was born August 9, 1952 to James Boyer and Lois Thomas Durrant. He was raised in SLC and attended Granite High School. He worked 25 years for American Express in the Fraud Department.
Kelly had a way of lighting up every room he entered and would hold that spotlight and our attention until the moment he left. His energy and excitement were contagious and he never failed to lift the spirits of all who knew him. He had a heart bigger than the world and shared it unfailingly with anybody in need. He was our confidant, our hero, and our consort and in many ways, for many of us, our father. Preceded in death by his parents and brother, Gene T. Durrant and sister, Shellie Lunn. He is survived by his adoring brother, J. Lloyd (Cherie) Eldredge and sister Sharon Darlene (Ken) Adams, DeAnn Durrant, 15 nieces and nephews, and many close friends. He will be desperately missed but most certainly never forgotten.
Memorial services will be on Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at 1:00 PM at the LDS Chapel on 957 E. 3825 S, SLC. A private interment was held at Mountain View Memorial Cemetery.
