James C. “Thor” Conway

December 6, 1956 — August 26, 2019

James C. “Thor” Conway has moved on to a better place, “Where the roads are always open, and the weather is always perfect to ride”.
James was born, December 6, 1956 in Murray, Utah to Mary Boyle (Conway) Wilber and Robert Conway.  He is preceded in death by his parents and brother Ricky Lynn Conway.
James spent his life in Murray, building his construction legacy as Signature Custom Concrete. For over 40 years, James made a reputation for himself as a leader in the concrete industry, eventually providing his professional expertise and guidance working for Phoenix Custom Concrete.  He prided himself on always being a man of his word, possessing a work ethic and sure dedication to always be “the best”.  The “James Gang”, his crews whom he loved and trusted, were always his top priority. James’ other loves were his many hours and days riding his Harleys, spending time with his family and extended family, whom he loved dearly, making music and spending time on the water boating or fishing.
To some, James was intimidating… due to his size, tattoo-covered arms and deep rough voice. But it is undeniable by all those who knew him that he had the biggest most loving heart and was always willing to put others before himself.  He was a man who would give you a helping hand, a home, or the shirt of his back if you needed it.  James’ love and friendship were unconditional, and our loss is immeasurable, but so is the love that he leaves behind.
James is survived by his daughter Monique (Le Andrew) Conway, his siblings Guy (Cindy) Conway, Mickey (Tony) Brecke-Flores and Todd (Jane) Conway, as well as his many stepchildren, nieces and nephews, grandchildren and his beloved crew.
