James Bell

March 22, 1920 — July 31, 2014

James Farrell Bell completed his mission on this earth on July 31, 2014 at the Alta Ridge Memory Care, Sandy, Salt Lake County, Utah.
Farrell was born in Richmond, Cache, Utah on March 22, 1920. He was the first born child of James Blaine and Lola Farrell Bell. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Fae Jensen Bell, his sister, Glenna Bell Pinson Mathews, Brother Charles Connell Bell, wife Vivian Seybold Miller Bell, granddaughter, Lucy Ann Bell Heaton. Survived by, Sister Kathryn Bell Spackman, Daughters Glorienne (David Lee) Barney, Farrelyn (Gary Fred) Miller, Pamela (Charles Kim) Christensen. Sons Richard Blaine (Jacqueline Leigh Butters) Bell and Robert Farrell ( Diane Elaine Funk) Bell, 49 grandchildren, 69 great grandchildren and 1 great- great grandchild.
Farrell served 26 months in the Southern States Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He was married to Fae on April 5, 1944 and left to serve his Country, in the Navy, on April 17, 1944. He was released from the service on December 21, 1945, returning home to be reunited with his wife and 6 month old daughter.
Farrell was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and served as a Bishop, on the High Counsel and Bishop Counselor, Temple worker and as a Sealer.
Farrell was very successful in his career in insurance starting as a salesman, office manager, District manager, underwriting manager, and the State representative for Utah for his company, receiving many awards and making many close friends.
His greatest accomplishments were his children, being able to marry some all of his grandchildren, and his testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
We want to thank the staff at Alta Ridge Memory Care center for the kind and loving care that they gave to Farrell for the time he was there.
The funeral service will be on Monday, August 4, 2014 at the Lake Hills Memorial Chapel, 10055 South State Sandy, Utah at 10:00am. The internment will be at the Richmond Utah Cemetery.
