James Alvin Glade, born May 24, 1938 in Salt Lake City, UT and died December 1, 2019 in West Valley City, UT surrounded by his wife, children, and grandchildren. He is the son of William Richard Glade and Ruth Smith, brother of Edward D. (Carolyn V.) Glade.
Our beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend James Alvin Glade passed away after a long valiant battle with cancer. Despite his many challenges, he was strong in his testimony knowing that our heavenly father heard his prayers as he dealt with this dreadful disease since 1973. He never complained or gave up. He was a man of faith, a man of integrity, and a man of peace. He honorably served a 2 year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and during his 26 years of service to his county, he met and married the love of his life Isabel Cigarroa Yanez. They were married in Piedras, Negras, Mexico on December 23, 1961 and was later solemnized in the Salt Lake City Temple February 14, 1964. His real passion in life since the age of 12 was to help bring his families ancestors into the Light of Christ with genealogy work. We know that he will be welcomed by thousands of new friends and relatives on the other side for his love and dedication to genealogy.
He was a loving father to Sylvia Glade-Webber, William (Wendy) Glade, Eric Glade, David Glade, and Elizabeth (John) Dawes; grandfather to Austin, Makayla, Sarah, Joseph, Matthew, Brianne, Heidi, Makenna, and Landen.
He is preceded in death by his daughter Heidi, parents, brothers Larkin Glade, Melvin Glade, and Ruth Stevenson, and many other family members.
