Jake Redding

Jake Redding, age 82, passed away on May 4, 2014 in Grand Junction, Colorado. He was born on August 29, 1931 in Questa, New Mexico, to Florencio Redding and Claudina Cisneros. He married Ruth Belarde (deceased). He later married Betty Jacobson on July 25, 1986 in Heber, Utah.
Jake loved the outdoors, especially fishing and hunting. Jake was a hard worker and got along with all. He worked for Albertson’s.
He is survived by his wife, Betty; his children, Frank (Tammy), Lorraine Redding, Loretta Rivera (Rick), Kerry Redding, Kenny Redding, Penny Redding, 14 grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren. He is also survived by 5 stepsons, George (Corena) Jensen, Steven Jensen, Randy Jensen, Jack (Cindy) Jensen; 20 step grandchildren; and 49 step great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ruth, stepson and his wife, Michael and Lorraine Jensen.
Graveside Services will be held on Thursday, May 15, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the Taylorsville Cemetery, 4575 South Redwood Road, Taylorsville, Utah. Interment at Taylorsville Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.deseretmortuary.com. Funeral Directors: Deseret Mortuary.
