Jacqueline Elizabeth Litle Newman

August 2, 1936 — June 6, 2020

Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother returned peacefully to heaven Saturday, June 6, 2020 surrounded by her family. Jackie was born August 2, 1936 in Timmins, Ontario, Canada to John and Alice Litle. She was the youngest of three having an older brother and sister. After joining the church Jackie moved to Salt Lake City, Utah where she met and married Lee Miller. Lee passed a couple years later, but the Miller family continued to take Jackie in and call her family. It was with Barbara and Leon Miller’s help that she became a US citizen and her love for both families continued to grow. In 1966 Jackie met Hal Newman and they were married on January 11, 1967. They were blessed with 4 children, 1 step daughter, 14 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Jackie’s dream was to become a wife and mother. She worked hard and sacrificed so much for her family. She loved to bake and was known for her beautifully decorated cakes and many other tasty desserts. She loved to sew and made many gorgeous princess dresses and many other costumes, clothing and quilts. Jackie was always learning and expanding her talents. She was always serving others as well. She took many meals in to families, gathered and donated many goods to homeless shelters, worked with the Salvation Army’s Angel Tree Program as well as The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Humanitarian Center.
Jackie was a wonderful wife, mother, friend and servant of the Lord and will be missed by many. Private Services will be held for the family.
