Our beloved mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend, Jackie Rae Idom passed away peacefully April 3rd 2015 at home surrounded loved ones after a long battle with emphysema.
She was born August 26th 1934 in Garfield, Utah, to John Harold and Elizabeth Jackson Workman. She married Regan Oliver Idom, November 26th 1949 in Tijuana, Mexico. For the most of her life she worked in the home as a mother, She also worked at Lockheed Aircraft; as a realtor; and as an aid and driver for handicapped children in the Jordan School District which she really enjoyed. Her hobbies in life were helping her husband build several boats, including a 32 ft. houseboat. She loved working with ceramics and crocheting. Her family was the most important part of her life. She is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints where she served as a visiting teacher supervisor, visiting teacher and as a Temple Ordinance worker in the Salt Lake Temple. She is now re-united with the love of her life never to be separated again
Survived by her sons Danny (Kathy) and Regan Dean (Debbie) Idom, sister, Donna (Verl) Chidester, 19 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren.
Proceeded in death by husband Regan Oliver Idom, daughter Linda Hartman England, parents, sisters Betty Simmons, Mary Morris, Alice Robbins, brothers Jay, Robert, and John Snow, and her beloved grandson Shadd Hatman and great granddaughter Jesse Hartman.
Viewing will be Thursday April 9th 2015 from 6 to 8 pm. at Lake Hills Memorial Park, 10055 South State St., Sandy, Utah
Funeral services will be held Friday April 10 2015 at 12:00 noon in the LDS chapel located at 240 Interlochen Lane, Stansbury Park, Utah 84074. Interment: Lake Hills Memorial Park
