Beloved father, grandfather, and brother.

Jack Mower passed away peacefully at home on July 9th, 2024. He was born July 26th, 1929, in Burlington, Wyoming to Morley and Mary Burnside Mower. Jack married Lorina M. Fata on November 21st, 1953. Jack joined the marines in August 1946 at the age of 17. He was stationed in Hawaii as a crew chief working on his beloved Corsair, and was honorably discharged on March 18th, 1952. He then enrolled in community college to learn the trade of an industrial painter to which he perfected over the course of 50 years. Aside from industrial painting, his passion was to restore antique wood, working alongside his dear friend Michael Ensign. He loved golf, making trips to Wendover with Lorina, and poker was his game of choice (but only "real" poker, being five card stud.)  Jack found a lot of joy with his best friend Dorothy Dempsey, playing Spite and Malice, as well as his weekly lunches with his brothers. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Survived by sons Jeffry M. (Donna) Mower, Joseph B. (Kathy) Mower, brothers, Jim (Ione) Mower, Norman (Shauna) Mower, sister, Dorothy McMurray; grandchildren, Ryan, Joel, Adam, Christopher, Jenifer, and Heather B; and five great grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his wife, son, Jack E. Mower, two sisters, Sandra Frandsen and Carol Stoker, one brother, Tom Mower, as well as special companion Helen Hepworth. 

There will be a viewing from, 10:00-11:00AM and a memorial service from 11:00-12:00PM on Tuesday July 23rd, 2024 at Memorial Redwood Mortuary and Cemetery (6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah) and Interment to follow immediately. 

The family would like to give a special thanks to Jenny Kohler for the special care and friendship she provided to Jack.
