Jack Marsh

April 29, 1941 — October 21, 2018

Jack Marsh, 77, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on October 21, 2018, following a courageous battle with cancer. Our sorrow at losing him is countered by the absolute joy we know he is experiencing in reuniting with his beloved parents and siblings. Jack was born on April 29, 1941 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Parley and Delma Marsh. He married Wendy Almond and had two children, Trevor and Tracie, they later divorced. He married Katie Gaye Gronning on May 18, 1968 and they had three children, Jeff, Jack “Andy,” and Amy. They were later sealed as a family in the Salt Lake Temple. Jack worked as a meat cutter most of his life and retired from Smith’s after 22 years. He loved being a grandfather, babysitter, chauffeur and best friend. He was very selfless and would do anything to help someone in need. His most precious gift was his sweet wife Katie, with whom he celebrated 50 years of marriage this last May. Along with Katie he is survived by his children Trevor, Tracie (Chris) Gagnier, Jeff (Heather), Jack “Andy” (Joie), Amy (Matt) Hansen, 14 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 26, 2018 at 2:00 PM at the Colonial Park Ward building of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 6695 South 2200 West in West Jordan, Utah. A viewing will be held on Thursday, October 25, 2018 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the church and again on Friday one hour prior to services. Interment will immediately follow services at Memorial Redwood Cemetery. The family would like to thank Inspiration Home Health and Hospice for their loving care.
