Jack L. Butler, 91 of Cottonwood Heights, UT, passed away on September 11, 2020 peacefully in his daughter’s home.
Jack was born in Butlerville, Utah to Charles Leslie Butler and Mary Ann Butler on June 25, 1929. He was married to Colleen “Connie” A. Butler, who preceded him in death only two months earlier. He lived in “Butlerville” now Cottonwood Heights, Utah. Jack was a jokester and master plumber, he worked at the Utah State Prison until he retired. Jack enjoyed bowling on leagues with his wife for many years, playing very competitive games of Canasta with family (in which he lost most of the time). Jack enjoyed taking trips to Wendover, NV, watching old Westerns on TV, fishing with family, and going to the Family Lot in the Canyon to play volleyball, ride on Tote Gotes, BBQ and spend time with Family. He enjoyed spending the summer outdoors on their Patio, where he would fall asleep in his bench swing with his dog “Damien”, watch TV, and enjoy dinner. He had fun on Saturday’s finding good deals at garage sales and at the Swap meet, most of which is stored in “His Shed”. He was dearly loved and will be truly be missed.
Jack is preceded in death by his wife, Colleen A. Butler, his parents and 3 brothers (Lalovi, Kenneth, Ronald) and 1 sister Grace (Billie).
Jack is survived by his, daughters Trudy (John) Roundy, Jill Butler and his 3 Grandchildren, Cory, Shalon, Britney, and 6 great-grandchildren.
His family expresses their gratitude to his In-Home Hospice Nurse, Sadie for her excellent care.
