Ivy Mae Wagstaff Quist, 1925 – 2014, passed away quietly in her home after a beautiful evening with her family. Ivy was born Nov 2, 1925 to Harold and Gladys Wagstaff in Holladay, UT. She graduated from Granite High School then served an LDS mission in the Southern states. Ivy married Frank Quist, Jr. in the Salt Lake Temple on Jan 13, 1948. Together, they bought Dixon Glass and managed the business successfully for 55 years. Ivy loved to work and was proud to still be working in the office 10 days before her passing. She was known for being an accomplished cook, making amazing candy, and for having a beautiful garden. Ivy loved and was loved by so many. She was an example of Christ-like service and was always generously giving. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Ivy and Frank raised 5 children: Michael (Mary), Steven (Deborah), John (Peggy), Kathryn (Stuart) McLaren, and Mary (Grant) Crookston. They have 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Ivy is survived by her brothers Ron and Brig Wagstaff, and by her sisters, LaVelle Fagg and Helen Christiansen.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 22nd at 12:00 pm at the Holladay 10th Ward (4601 South Chapel Drive). The viewing will also be Saturday morning from 10:00-11:30 am at the church. Interment to follow at Holladay Memorial Park.
