Obituary for Iva Dell (Reeve) Sheldon
Iva Dell passed away on April 1, 2022 in Great Falls, Montana. Her daughters were at her bedside when she passed. She was 2 months short of her 94th birthday.
She was born on June 23, 1928 in Sigurd, Utah to Bryan Harmon Reeve and Lottie Oldroyd. The family settled in Glenwood, Utah shortly after she was born. She grew up there until after her graduation from high school when the family moved to Salt Lake City, Utah. It was there that she met and married David Benjamin Sheldon. They were later sealed for
time and all eternity in the Salt Lake City Temple.
Caring for her husband and raising her daughters were the passion of her life. During her life she was a dedicated member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. As a member of the church, she held various positions and fulfilled multiple assignments but her favorite was her time serving in the Bountiful Utah Temple. She loved spending time in this assignment.
She was student of history, especially Utah history. She shared stories from history with her family as they travelled the various parts of the state. A longtime member of the International Society Daughters of the Utah Pioneers, she always looked forward to spending time at the Whitaker Museum, a local history museum in Centerville, Utah.
One of her favorite activities that allowed her to spend time with her grandchildren was doing jigsaw puzzles. She would always have the table up in the living room with a puzzle in progress and then would glue them together to keep. She has completed a couple 100 over the last few years and all the grandkids can remember working on them with her.
She is survived by her daughters Jeanine Irene Stuart (Edward) and Kathleen Eileen Heiner (David). She has seven grandchildren: Stephanie, Rachel, Robin, Amanda, Benjamin, Nicholaus, and Brian along with seven great-grandchildren
Preceded in death by her husband, David; her father, Bryan; her mother, Lottie and her older brother Dale.
Iva Dell is a lover of animals and would appreciate it if instead of flowers, etc she would love people to donate to their local animal shelter to care for those little ones.
Memorial services are scheduled as follows: A viewing will be held on Sunday, 10 April 2022 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
A viewing will be held on Monday, 11 April 2022 from 10:00 to 10:30 a.m.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, 11 April 2022 at 11:00 a.m.
