Inge Hansen Hoj

April 22, 1930 — March 16, 2018

Inge Hansen Hoj, age 87, danced on from this life peacefully on March 16, 2018 surrounded by family in the loving home of daughter and son-in-law, Suzanne and Myron Wills.
Inge was born on April 22,  1930 in Denmark to parents Martine Rasmussen and Viktor Oskar Hansen. Inge was raised in a loving family where she studied and worked.  She met the love of her life, Henning Hoj, an engineering student who she enjoyed riding bikes with to dances. They married soon after Henning finished college on Nov 12, 1955.  Together they decided to spread their wings and see the world. They first lived and worked in Toronto, Canada and then eventually found their way to SLC, Utah where they stayed and raised their family.
Inge lived a beautiful and full life, leading with love and through example, a life of quiet service to family and those around her. Her favorite hobbies included vegetable and flower gardening and enlisting the service of her children to teach them hard work and important life lessons.  She enjoyed traveling, dancing, visiting Bear Lake, sunbathing, skiing and savoring dark chocolate. She will be remembered and missed for her exquisite cooking and for her quiet service to others. She was known for her hospitality and often hosted parties and meals for friends and family.  Inge had a tender heart for those in need inviting them to join with family to share a meal together. Her home was a welcome place for everyone, including foreign family relatives and American Indian placement students: Bennie Betzeni, Roselyn Begay and Charlene Lansing.
Inge and Henning became converted to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, while living back in Denmark for a short period with their first two children.  She had strong faith in the Lord and lived a life of service to others while fulfilling many callings, including Relief Society President and supporting Henning in many church service callings.  Her life journey left her with overwhelming feelings of gratitude and satisfaction from her family, and experiences. She looked forward to the reunion with Henning.
