Ina Failner

February 4, 1917 — September 1, 2015

Our sweet Mother peacefully left this life to join her eternal sweetheart, Win, on Tuesday, September 1, 2015 surrounded by her loved ones at the home of her son, Vaughn.
Ina was born February 4, 1917 in Plymouth, Box Elder, Utah to George Henry Marshall and Annie Theresa Estep. She married Winford Threewood Failner, October 31, 1936 in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah. Later solemnized on October 23, 1939 in the Salt Lake Temple. Together they raised four children, Vaughn (Yvonne), Larry (Kathleen), Terry (Kathy), Debbie (Gary).
Ina’s whole life was dedicated to the loving care of her family. She worked side by side with her husband, Winford in all his business adventures. She was a wonderful seamstress and cook. She always had your favorite flavor of ice cream there for you when you came to visit.
She was a faithful daughter of God serving Him with all her heart. She served as a Primary President, Relief Society President, worked with the Young Women (MIA). She served with her sweetheart as a stake missionary and ward missionary. She was a great teacher not only to her family, but to others. She showed unconditional love to all she knew. She was an “elect lady”.
Besides their four children and their spouses, she was blessed with 16 grandchildren, 57 great grandchildren, and 17 great-great grandchildren. Her posterity numbers 98 at this time.
Ina was preceded in death by her husband Winford Failner, parents George Henry and Annie Theresa Estep Marshall, her brother George Warren Marshall, sisters Fern Theresa Jones, and Lena Fawn Gierisch. Also her son George Lawrence (Larry) Failner and his wife Kathleen Jane Bingham. Grandson Justin Lee Failner, and two great grandchildren Alexander and Krista Anderson.
Ina is survived by her children Vaughn Winford Failner (Yvonne), Terry Ray Failner (Kathy), Debra Ina Wilkins (Gary), 15 grandchildren, 55 great grandchildren, and 17 great-great grandchildren.
We wish to thank the Bakers, the Robinsons, and all those who unselfishly cared for our mother during the past 10 years. We also thank Hearts for Hospice for their tender care.
