Ilene Lindley

Our dear sweet mother, grandma, and great-grandma returned home to her Father in Heaven January 6, 2015. She was born October 12, 1928 to Lester Leroy and Irene Clare Smith. In 1948 she married her sweetheart Charles Melvin Lindley and they had four children. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them over all other activities. Without fail she would light up with joy with each and every visitor. She was extremely loved by many and even in her elder years continued to offer support, encouragement, and love to all she knew. She was a powerful influence in all our lives and the matriarch of our family. In her early years she enjoyed bowling, crocheting, camping, and above all her family. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
She is survived by her daughters, Janice (Ron) Larrabee, Gayle (Jerry) Erickson; son-in-law Bill Nelson, eight grandkids, and 27 great-grandkids.
Preceded in death by her husband, daughter Pat Nelson, and son Charlie.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Saturday, January 10, 2015 at Mountain View Memorial Mortuary, 3115 East Bengal Blvd (7800 South), Cottonwood Heights, Utah.
