Ignacio Vargas

Ignacio Vargas, age 89, died on February 29, 2020, in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was born on July 13, 1930, in Pachuca, Hidalgo Mexico to Tomas Vargas and Celia Sanchez. He married Pilar Acosta on September 9, 1951.
Dad loved antique cars. He was a self-made man that worked very hard to provide for his family. His biggest accomplishment was to take his entire family on December 2, 1987 to the Mexico Temple and have them sealed to him and mom forever. He did his best to stay firm and hold to the rod the rest of his life.
Ignacio is survived by his wife, Pilar Vargas; children: Marco Antonio, Nelly, Pedro, Jorge and Erendira. He is preceded in death by his son, Alberto.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at the Rose Park 14th Ward, 1155 North 1200 West, Salt Lake City, Utah. There will be a viewing on Tuesday, February 3, 2020 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM and again one hour prior to services at the church.
