Ida Virginia Edgar Butterworth

Our sweet mom, grandmother, great grandmother, sister in-law, aunt, and friend passed away on December 28, 2016 in Salt Lake City, two days after her 85th birthday.

Virginia spent her retirement years taking care of her grand and great grandchildren. She enjoyed her vacations several times a year with her brother Eldon and his wife Renee.

As a young girl she thought she was very rich, because of the many summers she spent at “Stunner” in the southern mountains of Colorado.

Virginia was always a classy lady in appearance and in everything she did.

She is survived by her three children; Mike, Julie (Jarrid), and Robin, her six grandchildren; Brad, Amber, Ian, Erik, Jarrid (Sadaf), and Andrew, her six great grandchildren; Emma, Chloe, Mason, Afsana, Remington, Harley and Afrosa (deceased), her sweet dog Jackson, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, David William Edgar and Leta Arstella Kaneaster Edgar, older brothers Robert John, David Nathan and Eldon Lee, and younger sister Maida Ann.

The highlight of Virginia’s last few years was spending time with little Afsana.

Funeral services will be held on January 3rd, 2017, 10:00 AM at Memorial Lakeview Mortuary, 1640 East Lakeview Drive, Bountiful, Utah.
