Howd G. Jensen was born July 31, 1945 in Bingham Canyon, Utah to Grant and Wilma Jensen. He passed away October 21, 2017 after a valiant battle with cancer. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Shirley Ann Jensen.
Howd was in the first graduating class of Hillcrest High School. He then continued his education at the University of Utah before enlisting in the Navy. From 1965 to 1969 he was deployed on the U. S. S. Bon Homme and the U. S. S. Hancock during the Vietnam War.
He married Pauline Bird Jensen on September 11, 1967. They had just celebrated their 50th Anniversary.
He started working in concrete at a young age with his dad. He continued this profession until he started helping build bridges in Wyoming. When this work was completed he returned to Utah where he helped many people with their own personal construction projects.
Howd was a creative man with the ability to repair anything broken or build things from scratch. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, Moon Lake, woodworking, spending time with family, and thick chocolate malts.
He is survived by his wife, Polly; his two daughters: Brynn (Joe) Minnock, and Mikel (Chris) Anger; and his 5 grandchildren: Jack, Mason, Sadie, Alex and Samantha.
