Howard Daniel Link passed away the morning of April 23, 2015 due to complications from cancer.
Born November 16, 1927 to Ferdinand and Rhoda Link, in Pittsburgh PA. Howard attended Carnegie Mellon Tech, which he attended at a young age on scholarship and earned his degree at the U of U. He was drafted twice, first at the end of WWII and again for the Korean War.
He served a mission for the LDS Church in the Northern States Mission. He married his wife Delma on April 13, 1956 in the Salt Lake Temple.
Howard loved to travel and he never met a meal he didn’t like. He prided himself on making friends where ever he went.
He said his greatest joy came from his children. He had a strong testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and looked forward to being with his parents and his sisters, Dorothy and Betty, who had preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife, seven children, 15 grandchildren, and 16 (almost 17) great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the caring hands from hospice from the Veterans Hospital for all of the care they’ve given dad all these months.
There will be a viewing at the Mountain View Memorial Mortuary, 3115 E. 7800 S. (Bengal Blvd.) Cottonwood Heights, Sunday evening the 26th from 5:00 to 7:00.
The funeral will be at the same address, Monday the 27th at 10:00 with a viewing from 9:00 to 9:45.
