Howard Chad Belt

Chad Belt, 76, passed away peacefully on May 14, 2017 in Salt Lake County surrounded by his six sons and other family members.  He was born February 16, 1941 to Howard Roe Belt and Pearl Livingston in Standardville, Utah.  He graduated from West High School in 1959.  After graduation he immediately enlisted in the U.S. Navy.  He served his country for four years.  He then married the love of his life, Pat Ferguson on May 19, 1963 in Salt Lake City, Utah.  He later retired from Hill Air Force Base in 2005. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved camping, hunting and fishing with his family.
Chad is survived by his son, Gregory, Thomas (Charyl), Rodney, Stacy, Kevin (Tammy) and Ryan (Rhonda); twenty-one grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; brothers, Damon (Paula) Cornish and Verle (Janet) MacFarlane. He is proceeded in death by his wife, Pat; parents; brothers, Roland Belt and Deloy MacFarlane; sisters, Arleen Pace and Sharon Belt.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, May 20, 2017 at 11:00 am at Memorial Redwood Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah.  Friends may visit with the family prior to services from 10:00 to 10:45 am. Interment at Memorial Redwood Cemetery, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah.
