Our beloved father, Hoatatau Sefo Vi Tonga was called back to his Heavenly Father on October 18, 2013. Better known to all who knew and loved him as Sefo. Born to loving parents the late Vitolio Vi Tonga and Tohuia Tae Mailau Vi Tonga on March 30, 1940 in Afa, Tonga. As a young man Sefo attended the Church College of Hawaii now known as BYU Hawaii where he was the captain of the rugby team. This is where he would find and marry his sweetheart Fifita Vehikite in the Hawaii Temple on October 19, 1963. Together they had 7 children. Tika Manu, Leilani Tonga, Tohuia (Filipo), Pita (Sana), Vito, Peta and Sisi. Sefo was a computer programmer at Geneva Steel and American Express. He also worked for the LDS church. Sefo was an athlete who loved sports especially golf and football. He was his kids and grandchildren’s number one supporter. Sefo leaves behind his numerous loved ones to join others who have gone before him. He will be sorely missed by all those who know and love him. He was the greatest father, husband, son, brother, uncle and grandfather. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2013 at 10:00 am at Springwood Ward Chapel, 191 West Monarch Drive in Bountiful, Utah with a viewing one hour prior to the service. There will be a viewing on Friday, October 25 from 6-11:00 pm at Taylorsville Stake Center, 1250 West Atherton Drive in Taylorsville. Interment at Redwood Memorial Park, 6500 South Redwood Road in West Jordan, Utah
