Hendrick “Henk” Lieuwe Wykstra

Hendrick “Henk” Lieuwe Wykstra, 83, passed away peacefully on October 9, 2021.  Henk was born on October 4, 1938 in Groningen, Netherlands. He served in the United States Army as an aviation mechanic.  He was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.  He accepted every calling with faithful diligence.  He worked all his life providing for his family and set an example for all his children to do the same.  He offered service whenever he could and was able to fix anything.
He was preceded in death by his father Andries Wykstra, his mother Anna Steenbergen, his step-mother Klaasiena Wykstra, his grandson Michael Adamson and his beloved dog, Misty.  He is survived by his wife Rudy Wykstra, whom he married on July 28, 1962.  Later solemnized in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. He is also survived by his children Andy (Annie), Margaret (Dave), Paul (Heather), and Joey (Chad).  He will be dearly missed by his 14 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren all of whom he was immensely proud of.
Funeral services will be on Friday, October 15, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints located at 1476 North 300 West Bountiful, Utah. Prior to the funeral there will be a viewing beginning at 9:30 a.m. Interment will be at the Memorial Lakeview Cemetery, 1640 Lakeview Drive, Bountiful.
