Helen Viola Gray Bauman

Helen Gray Bauman, our loving and caring mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother, passed away on January 7, 2022 at the young age of 100 years and 5 months after a brief illness. She was loved by all and will be missed each and every day.
Helen was born on July 21, 1921 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Walter and Ada Gray. She was married to James Douglas Bauman on September 23, 1939 in Salt Lake City. Together they raised 3 children and were married for 49 years before Doug passed away in 1989. She was resilient and lived independently until the day she passed away in the same home she and her husband purchased together over 81 years ago. Her family will miss the eggs she so generously shared, the Bauman Christmas parties and her annual summer birthday party filled with volleyball games, laughter and endless memories.
She is preceded in death by her husband Doug, daughter Kay Williams, two son-in-laws Will Williams and Frank Price, daughter-in-law Audrey Bauman, and siblings Henry, Walter, Leroy and Lois. She is survived by her son Douglas Ray (Kay) Bauman, and daughter Sandy Price. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 21 great-great-grandchildren.
Her family would like to thank Dr. Harold for his compassionate care as well as her nurses Tammie, Julie and Chris. A very special thanks to her home care nurse, Naomi, for her excellent and compassionate nursing and care.
Funeral services will be held January 15, 2022 at 2:30pm with a viewing one hour prior to service at Memorial Mountain View Mortuary, 3115 East 7800 South in Cottonwood Heights, Utah
