Helen Mary Rufi, age 72, passed away August 26, 2016 in Salt Lake City, UT. She was born September 18, 1943 to Cecil Gonzales and Mary Francis Garcia in Dixon, New Mexico.
Her family was her first love with Bingo being her second. She worked at Smith’s Food for 32 years retiring in June 2012.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Lawerance, Gilbert and Andy. She is survived by her three children, Debbie (Bruce) Gates, Robbie (the late Tammy) Smethurst and Nicole (Mike) Anderson; five grandchildren, McKell (Kallee) Anderson, CheyAnne Gates, Wylie Anderson, Jessica (Paul) Tippetts, Mackelle (Mark) Uriarte and 4 great-grandchildren. Siblings: George, Rudy, Evelyn, Ronnie, Luke, Bobby, Stevie, Manuel and Lorraine. 39 nieces and nephews.
A special thanks to extended family and friends who helped out in our time of need and those that were there during her passing. Everyone who sacrificed their time and resources to make her death and funeral a special celebration.
